These gloves are okay for warmth but they don't function well when your trying to grab small items. I think that they would be okay picking up large boxes but still don't grip that well. They would be best suited for outdoor work. They are what the tag onread more the glove says, extrication gloves. You also might want to consider a size smaller than what you normally get because they are very bulky.
